Elmet House – Leeds

About this project

This colourful and unique kitchen is from our premium Next125 handless range.

What’s really striking about this kitchen is the Indigo Blue cabinetry, the bold colour adds depth and texture to the space while the glass finish of the doors helps reflect light back into the room.
To prevent the room from feeling too dark the clients opted for a crisp Andros White Quartz worksurface. It’s a stark contrast to the cabinetry, making the blue appear more vibrant.

A large island sits in the centre of the kitchen, boasting plenty of storage on the working side which really maximises space. To the front there is a full length breakfast bar, the perfect size for the whole family! What really stands out on the island are the quartz waterfall gable ends and Indigo Wood back panel, it’s such a simple but attractive design detail that fits in with the minimalistic aesthetic of the kitchen.

The tall bank houses an AEG microwave combination oven, a full sized microwave, and two AEG pyrolytic single ovens all in a stunning black finish. Pyrolytic Ovens have risen in popularity thanks to the self-cleaning function, they are perfect for busy working kitchens like this one. To the left of the tall bank sits a Falmec Sintesi Combo Hob, the benefit of hobs like this one is that you don’t require bulky and often ugly over-head extraction units because it’s built into your induction hob! A beautiful mirrored splashback sits above the hob, the grey colour works perfectly with the white Quartz worktops while the mirrored effect makes the space feel bigger.

To really pull the design together subtle LED undercounter lights run along the handle channels and under the wall units, adding to the vibrancy of the blue door fronts as well as making the room feel brighter.
