Terms and Conditions

  1. JOB NUMBER – Once an order is placed with Express in the Home you will be given a specific job number. Please quote this reference, as well as your postcode when contacting any department, regarding your project.
  2. “THE COMPANY” and “We” means Express in the Home Ltd, currently trading from Units 23-25, Millshaw Park Lane, Millshaw Park Industrial Estate, Leeds, LS11 0BL.
  3. “THE CUSTOMER” and “You” means the person, firm or company purchasing the goods.
  4. The Customer will be responsible for insurance of all goods once they have been delivered to site.
  5. We recommend that you only arrange for tradesmen to carry out work on your behalf after your goods have been delivered. We will not be responsible for any losses incurred for late delivery no matter how caused.
  6. All kitchen materials may have slight variations in colour, grain or texture and in accordance with our specification we deem acceptable by you.
  7. Title to the goods shall not pass to you until the goods are paid for in full. We therefore reserve the right to remove the goods, whether installed or otherwise, if they are not paid for in accordance with the Contract between us.
  8. No Employee or Agent of Express in the Home Ltd has authority to make any oral representation or alteration concerning the price, nature or quality of the Company’s products or services unless confirmed by the Company in writing.
  9. The work to be carried out will be as per the specification agreed. All illustrations are provided for demonstration purposes only and this is not a sale by sample only.
  10. Plastering, painting, decorating, flooring and tiling are not included in the quotation unless expressly stated.
  11. The Customer shall give Employees of Express in the Home Ltd and their Agents access to the premises at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspecting the site for delivery and installation.
  12. If required by Express in the Home Ltd the Customer shall make sufficient space available prior to delivery of the kitchen/materials to be stored between delivery and commencement of installation.
  13. Your plan and item list will under-go a final check before manufacture, small changes in size may be made in the interest of a satisfactory fit.
  14. When the Customer is arranging their own installer, it is the Customers responsibility to ensure the installer used is competent and adequately qualified to install rigid kitchen units and appliances. Express in the Home Ltd cannot accept responsibility for faulty goods due to poor fitting.
  15. We reserve the right to exchange goods for others of a similar specification in the event of unavailability.
  16. We reserve the right to amend the quotation and plan in the event of any unforeseen circumstances arising or problems manifesting themselves upon installation.
  17. Customers are advised to check all sizes on plans and listings prior to ordering. We accept no liability for goods not fitting or being suitable in the case of supply only.
  18. In the event of orders placed from architects plans (extensions, modifications and new builds) the customer is responsible for checking that built sizes after plastering comply exactly with the final kitchen plan sizes given. We strongly advise that customers continuously monitor and check sizing, and advise of any discrepancy in good time for alterations to be made prior to manufacture.
  19. We accept no liability for goods not fitting if internal dimensions have changed without ample notification. Any on-site modifications will incur an additional charge.
  20. Where the Customer undertakes to supply items or appliances it is their responsibility to ensure they are the correct size and specification. They must be available on site at the commencement of the installation. If for any reason the Customer fails to have them available, causing installation work to be delayed, any resultant cost incurred by Express in the Home Ltd must be borne by the Customer.
  21. It is the Customer’s responsibility to contact the local Council to arrange collection of unwanted refrigerators, freezers and all other waste.
  22. We will endeavour to minimise inconvenience to the Customer at all times, however by nature of the work we cannot be held liable for accidental damage, however caused, to existing property. Customers retaining existing floor covering or wall tiling must be aware that patching up work may be required before and /or after installation, of which Express In The Home LTD are not responsible for.
  23. Should the Customer wish to make changes to the order they are subject to the approval of Express in the Home Ltd, any costs and/or delays incurred by Express in the Home Ltd must be borne by the Customer.
  24. You have 7 days from the date of placing your deposit to cancel your order, after this time you will forfeit your deposit. In the event of cancellation, and/or delay, charges will be applicable in accordance with the stage of your order, to indemnify us against all losses. Additional charges for administration, design works and/or fitting costs, including lost time, may be applied at our discretion. You are required to confirm your reason for cancellation in writing and send it by recorded delivery to head office, Express in the Home Ltd, Unit 24 Millshaw Park Lane, Leeds, LS11 0BL. Alternatively this can be sent via email to sales@expressinthehome.co.uk.
  25. Furniture, Appliances and other related items are specifically manufactured to order and therefore cannot be returned for refund. Express in the Home reserves the right to offer the facility to accept items for credit or exchange and when doing so, can only accept returned items complete, unused, uninstalled and in original packaging. These items will also be subject to a 30% restocking charge.
  26. No claims for damaged goods will be accepted unless reported to Express in the Home Ltd in writing or email within 10 days of delivery. Where items are found to be damaged or faulty, replacements will be ordered as soon as possible. Express in the Home takes no responsibility for costs incurred for return visits from installers.
  27. All items supplied are covered by individual manufacturers warranties, which are effective from date of delivery/installation.
  28. Express in the Home Ltd makes every effort to deliver goods within the delivery option requested at the time of the order placed. However, we cannot guarantee this and we will not accept any liability if your order is received outside any previously agreed time or date. We recommend that you only arrange for tradesmen to carry out work on your behalf after your goods have been delivered. We will not be responsible for any losses incurred for late delivery no matter how caused.
  29. Unless specifically stated, installation is not included within your quote. These works do not form part of your contract with Express in the Home Ltd.
  30. Our Payment Terms are 25% deposit to place order with the 75% balance to be paid in cleared funds at least 7 days before delivery. No goods will be delivered until balance is paid.

Alter these Terms & Conditions upon giving you advance notice. Decline services to any individual Customer. The above Terms and Conditions shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. The contract between us shall in all respects be governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
